There are several Syrian-led churches in the lower mainland, both Christan heritage and Muslim background believer congregations. Pray that they can worship together and reach out to Muslim Syrians.

Turks want to build community with others in Vancouver and have even taken the first step in organizing friendship events. So far, the response from Canadian believers has been minimal. Pray for the Church to see this God Moment – and to be willing to make the time and effort to engage in this harvest that God has prepared for us.

Turks are often open to spiritual conversations. And they love to be prayed for. Pray that more believers would befriend them – and be bold in inviting them to explore the Bible so that they can meet Jesus.

Pray for new Turkish believers to rise up – and to reach out to the other Turkic people groups of Vancouver.

Pray for believers in Vancouver to invite Turks to explore the Bible with them. Pray that these Turks would in turn begin studies with others in their community and ignite a disciple-making movement among the Turks of Vancouver.

Pray that more Christians work to share Jesus with these beautiful individuals.

There are few known Turkish Muslim-background followers of Jesus in Metro Vancouver.

Pray for international students who are living with loneliness and stress, that the Lord would direct them to believers who would be willing to serve them in practical ways and provide genuine friendships.

Pray that more churches would become aware of the need and opportunity to partner with ISMC for Focus Clubs, which provide social and ESL opportunities, ethnic meals, and for sharing the love of Jesus with seekers.

Pray that more Christian families would be interested in reaching out to international students through dinner-invitation opportunities facilitated by ministries like International Student Ministries Canada (ISMC) around events like Canadian Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.
