Pray for believers in Vancouver to invite Turks to explore the Bible with them. Pray that these Turks would in turn begin studies with others in their community and ignite a disciple-making movement among the Turks of Vancouver.

Pray that more Christians work to share Jesus with these beautiful individuals.

There are few known Turkish Muslim-background followers of Jesus in Metro Vancouver.

Pray for international students who are living with loneliness and stress, that the Lord would direct them to believers who would be willing to serve them in practical ways and provide genuine friendships.

Pray that more churches would become aware of the need and opportunity to partner with ISMC for Focus Clubs, which provide social and ESL opportunities, ethnic meals, and for sharing the love of Jesus with seekers.

Pray that more Christian families would be interested in reaching out to international students through dinner-invitation opportunities facilitated by ministries like International Student Ministries Canada (ISMC) around events like Canadian Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.

Ask God to bring at least one gospel-centered Christian friend into each international student’s life, who will find ways to serve them, demonstrating the love of Jesus through actions.

Afghans have not had the opportunity to explore the Bible. Pray that many will choose to join Discovery Bible Studies. Bibles are available in Afghani dialects.

Those who have left Islam to follow Jesus experience strong community pressure to return to Islam in order to be accepted in the community. Pray for courage and perseverance for them.

Pray for a Vancouver church which is in the process of sponsoring an Afghan believer and his family to come here. He has been stateless in Indonesia for 6 years – and preaching the gospel boldly to Afghan refugees there – seeing many come to Jesus.
