Prayer Somalis Vancouver
Pray for trusting relationships and friendship between followers of Jesus and Somalis.
Pray for trusting relationships and friendship between followers of Jesus and Somalis.
Somalis make up one side of an ongoing ethnic gang war in the Surrey area. Praise God outward gang violence isn’t as prevalent as in the 2010’s, but many Somalis who come from Toronto continue to have gang and drug ties. Pray that they experience a bold witness for Christ that changes their life. Pray that the distance between them and their old connections would allow them a chance for a fresh start.
Pray for Churches in Surrey to recognize the need for more English Classes and other opportunities to reach out to Syrian Muslims living in their communities.
Pray for Syrian Muslims to have visions and dreams of Jesus that lead to salvation.
Pray for the many organizations and churches that continue to support Syrian refugees, that they will keep up the good work as the public eye turns elsewhere.
Ask God to bring at least one gospel-centered Christian friend into the life of each Syrian Muslim & find ways to serve them and read the Bible with them.
There are several Syrian-led churches in the lower mainland, both Christan heritage and Muslim background believer congregations. Pray that they can worship together and reach out to Muslim Syrians.
Turks want to build community with others in Vancouver and have even taken the first step in organizing friendship events. So far, the response from Canadian believers has been minimal. Pray for the Church to see this God Moment – and to be willing to make the time and effort to engage in this harvest that God has prepared for us.
Turks are often open to spiritual conversations. And they love to be prayed for. Pray that more believers would befriend them – and be bold in inviting them to explore the Bible so that they can meet Jesus.
Pray for new Turkish believers to rise up – and to reach out to the other Turkic people groups of Vancouver.
