There is great connectivity between Iranian-Canadians and their family and friends in Iran. Pray that the gospel that is accessed and accepted here in Canada would travel back and transform Iran.

Division and disunity is a real challenge in the Iranian community—including in the Iranian church. Pray for the Spirit of God to bring healing, peace and unity to the believers, including pastoral leaders.

Praise God for the rapid growth of the Iranian church globally, including here in Canada. There are a number of Farsi-speaking congregations that share a church building with other congregations.

Ask God to raise up Metro Vancouver Jesus followers to meet Iranians, give the good news to them, and read the Bible with them.

Pray that Jesus would communicate to Iranians through dreams and visions to draw them to Himself.

Pray that the traumas experienced by recent immigrants while in Iran, would find healing through Jesus Christ. Pray that scripture-based trauma-healing groups would be started to serve this need.

Pray that Iranians who are turning to their ancient Zoroastiran religion (because of the failure of Islam in Iran), realize the futility of it, and discover the power and truth of Jesus Christ.

Tip: Ask Somalis to share their beliefs and practices with you; listen to them to see where God may be already in conversation with them and join that conversation with the good news as relationship and time allow.

Lord, lead Christians to Somalis who are searching for Jesus. Lord, lead churches in Surrey and Burnaby to pray for, and minister among, the Somali community.

Lord, may these Christians learn to effectively communicate the gospel using existing resources in the Somali language.
