Prayer Somalis Vancouver
Tip: Ask Somalis to share their beliefs and practices with you; listen to them to see where God may be already in conversation with them and join that conversation with the good news as relationship and time allow.

Lord, lead Christians to Somalis who are searching for Jesus. Lord, lead churches in Surrey and Burnaby to pray for, and minister among, the Somali community.
Lord, may these Christians learn to effectively communicate the gospel using existing resources in the Somali language.
Lord, help existing Christians become more aware of Somalis in their community. Help Christians overcome fear, self interest, and negative thoughts toward Somalis.
Lord, raise up labourers among Somalis in Greater Vancouver to share the gospel, disciple believers, and start churches.
Pray that Somali disciples be made so that a Somali church community can be developed.
Pray for followers of Jesus to open their homes in a ministry of hospitality and safety for Somalis.
Pray for trusting relationships and friendship between followers of Jesus and Somalis.
Somalis make up one side of an ongoing ethnic gang war in the Surrey area. Praise God outward gang violence isn’t as prevalent as in the 2010’s, but many Somalis who come from Toronto continue to have gang and drug ties. Pray that they experience a bold witness for Christ that changes their life. Pray that the distance between them and their old connections would allow them a chance for a fresh start.
